These wall mounted racks are great for displaying your favorite firearm or sword. There is a nail head slot in the back of each rack so they can be mounted securly to the wall. I have seen many other racks of this type split with the grain of the wood. To prevent this we have added a little extra length to the lower portion of the rack and also have inserted a 1/4" dowel through the center part of the rack ( just below the cradle where the gun rests) to prevent in from splitting. Felt pads on the back to prevent scuffing your walls. The back on each one is 2 1/4" x 7 1/4".
